On some projects we have been able to reduce BOM-costs by more than 50%. Typically a Cost-Reduced design pays for the development ten times over in the first year of release.
Cost Reduction Analysis
We can perform an initial cost-reduction analysis, combing through your design files and generating a report which details cost-reduction potential and the potential risks involved with implementing each suggestion. This activity generally takes from two to eight weeks, depending on design complexity. Armed with this you can determine if the business case is favorable enough for a full-blown Cost-Reduction Project.
Cost Reduction Re-Design
You may decide to take our Cost-Reduction Opportunities Report and implement design changes with an in-house design team, or you can utilize our Turnkey Design Services to implement any design changes you select. By utilizing a third party development firm to perform cost-reduction activities you are freeing up your in-house designers to focus on developing your next big product.
